Preparing for a photo shoot can be somewhat stressful. Part of my job is to make the experience as fun and relaxed as possible. I know photo-shoots can be intimidating, may be seen as boring and even uncomfortable. However, the plan is to simply have FUN!
Here are a few of my tips to prepare for a photo session:
- Grooming is very important. However, there is no need for fancy clothing. A good rule-of-thumb is to try and wear clothing that doesn’t detract from your face. I do however encourage you to show your personal style.
- I like to make shoots as fun as possible. It is important that you are comfortable and discuss with your photographer ideas and locations.
- Do not try and hijack your own photo-shoot or make unreasonable demands. I can’t stress enough the importance of working with your photographer. Make eye-contact, engage, enjoy your surroundings, but most importantly, listen to your photographer. It is very important for you to trust me and to have fun.
With that said, I’m ready to document all the grins, giggles and emotions.
